"Give me the power to create a fever,
and I shall cure any disease."
-
Hippocrates, "The Father of Modern Medicine"
(2,000 years ago) |
Inspired
by the exotic health spas of Europe, the Aromatic Steam Therapy - steam
sauna provides the ideal setting for sumptuous steam treatments,
stimulating aromatherapy, regenerating skin care, and health
rejuvenation.

Looking back to our forefathers' days
and to the North American Indians, their most effective therapy against
disease was the "Sweat Lodge". Why? Because it works.
The use of heat for detoxification is not a new practice. Dr. Veronica
Butler, medical co-director at The Raj, a health center based on
principles of Ayurveda, recommends herbalized steam baths (called swedenas)
to clients as part of the ancient Ayurvedic purification treatment, known
as panchakarma.
In Finland, research is being done on the use of sweat therapy in the
treatment of people who are chemically dependent. The purifying effects of
perspiration could also be behind claims that steam treatments can help
cure or control such ailments as acne and arthritis.
Eating a balanced diet supplemented with high quality nutritional
supplements and drinking alkaline water should be your first steps to
maintaining good health. But if "vital" health is your goal, then a good
sweat everyday will help keep you healthy and your lymph nodes (a major
part of your immune system) in top shape.
Many people try to sweat by working out, only to feel the worse for it
afterward. Why? Because their skin pores and sweat glands are blocked, the
lactic acid created from the workout cannot be eliminated properly as
nature intended.

Every day we are exposed to thousands of toxic chemicals and pollutants in
our atmosphere, water, food, and soil. These pollutants affect us in a
variety of ways, including, decreased immune function, neurotoxicity,
hormonal dysfunction, psychological disturbances, and cancer.
The skin is the largest detoxification organ of the human body. In a
healthy person 30% of the body's toxic waste is excreted through the skin.
When the skin becomes dehydrated and the pores blocked, the immune system
comes under major attack. When this happens waste backs up into the
tissues, organs, blood stream, and lymph nodes. Today, because of modern
lifestyles, most people show signs of lymph node stress - a condition
called “sand bagging”.
Sand Bagging is when the lymph nodes and lymph channels become cemented.
This can be a critical problem for those suffering from or trying to
prevent illness. When your skin and lymph system are blocked, your body
tissues and fluids become a storage shed for some of the body's most
destructive poisons. These toxic destructive acids will literally
accelerate the process of aging and disease. We see this in more critical
cases, for example in a tumor.
A tumor is a storage shed of acid and toxic waste. It is what the body
creates to concentrate and isolate toxins when the toxins are not being
removed naturally.
How can we successfully cleanse when one of our largest organs (our skin)
is malfunctioning? This is why the ill have such difficulty regaining good
health. The main difference between feeling young or old, healthy or sick,
is whether you are toxic or not. The first step to great health is proper
detoxification. The most passive and effective way to accomplish this is
through the Aroma Therapy.
Detoxification
occurs through the body's natural process of eliminating or neutralizing
these toxins via the liver, the kidneys, the urine, the feces, exhalation,
and perspiration. "Detoxification Therapy" accelerates this process to
help rid the body of chemicals and pollutants and can facilitate a return
to health.
Hyperthermia is the raising of body temperature above its normal level of
98.6o F (37oC). Also known as stress detoxification, hyperthermia is one
of the most effective detoxifying treatments available. Most people do not
have sufficient energy reserves (oxygen and hydrogen) to create a proper
fever to burn off illness, so external methods of raising the body's
temperature to facilitate detoxification are required.
Health are more than skin deep. Experience the joy of vital health as you
experience Aroma Therapy on a regular basis. You deserve to look and feel
great. Daily detoxification through spa therapy will help you internally
while you cleanse the skin externally.

Heat speeds up the chemical processes in the body, making steam bathing
one of the simplest and most comfortable ways to rid the body of
accumulated toxins. As the pores open up and millions of sweat glands
start to excrete, the body rids itself of metabolic and other waste
products. Sweat contains almost the same elements as urine, and for this
reason, the skin is sometimes called the third kidney. It is estimated
that as much as 30% of bodily wastes are eliminated by way of
perspiration.
According to Zane Gard, M.D. and Erma Brown, P.H.N., hyperthermia (heat
stress detoxification) is the only detoxification program that has proven
successful in removing fat-stored toxins from the body. “Heat stress,”
says Dr. Gard, “can also remove calcium deposits from the blood vessels
and break down scar tissue from their walls.”
Other studies demonstrate that hyperthermia can remove chemicals such as
DDE (a metabolite of DDT), PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), and dioxin
from fat cells. However, more than just the common metabolic waste
products are eliminated through the sweat process. Natural health
practitioners often notice that when heavy smokers get a steam bath or a
body wrap (where the body 'simmers' for up to 45 minutes under hot
covers), they will leave a yellow residue on the towels.
Lastly, steam bathing produces powerful therapeutic effects simply by
increasing circulation. The bloodstream plays a crucial role in the
maintenance of health as the carrier of the rebuilding forces (nutrients)
to all parts of the body.

The powerful cleansing and healing process of hyperthermia takes place
when the body core temperature reaches between 101 - 103oF.
With steam, this is accomplished more quickly and more effectively than in
a dry heat or infrared sauna. It only requires 10 to 15 minutes, while
relaxing in the aromatic steam of your Aroma Therapy, to reach goal
temperature ranges.
In a 1989 study, researchers concluded that the desired higher heat stress
ratings were attained with the use of humid heat rather than dry heat. As
the person's temperature begins to rise, the body's natural response is to
perspire so that the evaporation of the perspiration will cool the body.
Heat loss by evaporation in a dry sauna is considerably greater than in a
humid sauna or steam room because in a steam bath, evaporation is not
possible and therefore allows little or no loss of valuable body heat. The
higher moisture level actually causes condensation on the body to become
the primary heat transfer mechanism additionally heating the body.
The effectiveness of steam hyperthermia treatments directly correlates
with the ability to eliminate evaporation heat loss during treatments.
Your Aroma Therapy will cause you to perspire heavily, expelling toxins
for a naturally cleaner, healthier you!
Benefits Of Steam Detoxification
- a summary:
 | Less time needed to reach and maintain
effective temperature levels of 101o-103oF
|
 | The steam effectively washes toxins
from the surface of the skin as you sweat, rather than allowing them to
dry or bake back onto the skin
|
 | The profuse sweating caused from the
steam emulsifies the fat of the sebaceous glands far more effectively
than water and clears them of sebum and the bacterial flora they contain
|
 | Keeps respiratory system hydrated (does
not allow for dehydration damage to the delicate tissue of the
respiratory system). |

The deep penetrating moist heat of
the Aroma Therapy steam capsule offers these health benefits:
 | Increases extensibility of tissues
|
 | Decreases rigidity in joints
|
 | Reduces muscle spasm
|
 | Increases blood circulation and
irrigation, but not blood pressure
|
 | Boosts immune system by increasing
white blood cell formation
|
 | Enhances total lymph system cleansing
|
 | Improves vascular flow, which in turn,
enhances oxygen, nutrient, and lymph exchange at the cellular level
|
 | Detoxifies muscular aches & pains
|
 | Helps against acidosis and heavy metal
toxicity
|
 | Helps with detoxification from
drug/alcohol consumption
|
 | Helps to prevent injuries by increasing
muscular flexibility
|
 | Relieves pain & discomfort of arthritis
|
 | Increases circulation and metabolism
|
 | Improves skin & body tone
|
 | Hydrates dry skin
|
 | Superior to body wraps in the treatment
of cellulite due to much shorter time required to raise tissue
temperature (1 hour in body wrap compared to 10 minutes in steam bath)
|
 | Relieves stress, leaving the body
feeling relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated. |
When you detoxify your skin and
lymph nodes you open a whole new door to health.
